About us
Family-owned at the Port of Stockton since 2000.
M.T. Railcars, Inc. moves and stores bulk bags and palletized product for customers across Northern California, from multiple warehouses at the Port of Stockton.
Our story
Built by a Port of Stockton operator.
Before 2000, founder David Mairs ran a large fertilizer plant at the Port of Stockton as its Operations & General Manager.
When that plant moved its operations to Ohio in 2000, David stayed in California. The Port was expanding onto Rough & Ready Island, and he founded M.T. Railcars to fill a gap in quality local warehousing and railcar transloading, as one of the first tenants of the new complex.
Our first customer needed bulk bags moved from railcars into storage and then onto trucks. They were still with us more than 20 years later.
Today we have a team of dozens, a fleet of forklifts in many sizes, and 280,000+ sq ft across multiple warehouses at the Port.
